2023 CLASS INFORMATION

PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER FOR UPDATES ON OUR CLASS INFORMATION FOLLOWING THE STORE’S CLOSURE.

THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!!  THANK YOU!!!  If you haven’t heard, we were voted 2017 Best Knitting Classes in Charlotte in Elevate Lifestyle’s 11th annual poll.  This is decided by the people, and we are truly thankful for all of you who voted for us.  Frenda and I think our classes are great, and since most of them are usually well attended, we thought you all must enjoy them.  It’s wonderful to have your vote of confidence.  You can check out all the other winners at www.elevatelifestyle.com.  We’re under Life Style.

Beginner Classes

If you’ve never picked up needles or a hook (or if your skills are very rusty), you can take a Learn to Knit or Crochet Class.  This private class can be scheduled any time the store is open with a few days notice, and will cover the basics you need to work simple projects or join one of our other classes.  The $85.00 (plus tax) class fee covers instruction, yarn, book, needles or hook, and supplies.  The class takes about an hour and a half.

Regular Classes

We offer on-going regular classes in knitting, crochet, and needlepoint by the quarter.  These classes meet at the same time each week, and our current on-going classes are:

Monday morning 11 am – 1 pm   Thursday evening 7 pm – 9 pm
Tuesday morning 10 am – noon   Friday morning 10 am – noon
Wednesday morning 10 am – noon   Saturday morning 10 am – noon
Wednesday afternoon 1 pm – 3 pm   Saturday afternoon 1 pm – 3 pm

Each student works on a project of their choice.  Classes are small so everyone has plenty of individual help and students are welcome to come in any time for help at no additional charge.  Yarn and patterns used in a class MUST be purchased at Knit One, Stitch Too.  The fee is $150 for the quarter.  When there is room, students may sign up for one month for $75, or a single class for $35.

Workshops & Specialty Classes

We hold workshops and project classes designed to teach specific items, like socks, or concepts like hand felting.  These are announced with flyers, on our website, and in our newsletters as they’re scheduled.

Moonlight Madness and Sit & Stitch are scheduled in alternating months on one Friday evening each month.  Moonlight Madness costs $35 and includes a nice dinner, a great dessert, an interesting activity and plenty of stitching time.  Sit & Stitch costs $25 and includes a lovely dessert.  The dates for both are announced in our newsletter.  They always fill up fast, so make your reservations early.

If you aren’t currently a student, or you need help with a project you didn’t buy in the store, you’re welcome to bring it in outside of class hours.  There’s never a charge for a few minutes of help.  If you need more help than that, or if you’d like a private class, instruction is $8 for 15 minutes.  If you’re interested in other classes or classes at other times, please let us know.  We’ll do our best to arrange them.

Child Policy

While babes in arms are always welcome, please make arrangements for your other children during class hours.  Students need to be at least 13 to attend classes alone.

We’re open Monday 11 – 5, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 – 6, Thursday 10 – 9, and Saturday 10 – 5.  If you have questions or suggestions, please contact us at (704) 655-9558.
